"Not a cookie cutter neighborhood. It took 25 years to build it it out. Unique homes with large wooded lots. Great location within Charlotte convenient to the public and private schools."

"Great friendly neighborhood, privacy, plenty of walking and running possibilities, swimming and tennis club in walking distance. proximity to 5 shopping centers, I lived here for 17 years and the family liked the neighborhood atmosphere with all its surroundings. Popular schools are all close by. Easy access to Freeway, approx. 20 minutes to Uptown Charlotte & 25 minutes to the Airport."

"This area features the top school ratings for the whole of Mecklenburg County Public Schools; they're VERY competitive. Stay to Robinson Middle School and not Crestdale (unless they've improved over the last 7 years). Plenty of sidewalks and bike lanes but the area could use more public transportation, ie. bus stops. GREAT shopping with high-end grocery stores, aplenty. Convenient to I-485 all around. Very clean, safe and posh in most every area. Not the 'hood up; shade tree mechanic' type of neighborhoods. Fabulous Harris YMCA with several pools including a kiddie pool and covered, picnic area. Picturesque historical, downtown Matthews with farmers' market and cool restaurants, coffee houses and great festivals throughout the seasons. Something for everyone. Love it! "
