What Locals Say about Culbreth Park

  • Mandy
"The neighborhood is Culbreth Park, which is generally working families and graduate students. The houses are in a back corner of the neighborhood, away from any notable car traffic. Crime is minimal. A neighborhood association ($100/yr) maintains all common areas, and a hiking trail immediately accross the street extends to the greenway for biking and jogging/walking between Southern Village and towards campus. Another trail goes right next to the 108 house up to Culbreth Middle School, whose ballfields abut against the properties. These locations give easy access to school and downtown, as well as Southern Village and the back way into Carrboro/W Franklin. The D-line bus stop is at the neighborhood entrance."
