Brookwood Subdivision

So far it’s been a terrible horrible school!!! I honestly regret enrolling my child in this school. It’s so bad that we’re looking for another place to move to, even though we love the area and our current home. If you can take your child to another school i would do it.

Bad teachers, swore at kids and a teacher put up the middle finger towards my own DAUGHTER. Disgusting school.

The teachers all still do a lot of worksheets. There is little variety in the way they teach.

My daughter is a rising 2nd grader and has attended Smith since kindergarten. There is palpable commitment from the faculty for students to succeed. The principal and vice principal know the children by name and make them feel like part of a big family. Smith is a great school and we are thankful that our dtr is flourishing there.

As a graduate who attended Burlington Christian Academy for seven years, I would not recommend this school. The administration often seemed more focused on protecting staff than addressing legitimate student concerns, and students who needed accommodations or additional support frequently did not receive it.The quality of education was highly inconsistent. While a few teachers genuinely cared and worked hard, others appeared unprepared or disengaged. There were days when little actual teaching took place and students were simply left on their phones. For a tuition-based private school, the academic standards were far below what many families would expect.One of the clearest examples was the high school Spanish program. In my experience, very little actual Spanish was taught. Some tests effectively had the answers provided, and students could pass without developing even basic proficiency in the language. I was personally allowed to change my own grade on an exam, which raised serious concerns about academic integrity and grading standards.I also witnessed multiple high school teachers using profanity around students, which I found inappropriate, especially for a school that presents itself as a Christian institution. The gap between the values the school advertised and the reality students experienced was significant.After spending seven years at Burlington Christian Academy and graduating from there, I left disappointed by the lack of accountability, inconsistent education, weak academic standards, and administration’s unwillingness to seriously address concerns. Families considering this school should carefully evaluate whether it truly provides the academic rigor, integrity, and Christian environment it promises.

TBS is a wonderful school and learning environment for our kids! Highly recommend.
