We have had an amazing experience at HSES. My daughter is wrapping up her Kindergarten year and we have had nothing but positive experiences with her teacher and the administration! The new principal is wonderful, friendly, and cares deeply about the success of her students. Any issues are dealt with swiftly, and the communication from the school to parents has been excellent. My daughter goes to school excited to learn every day. As a parent, I am so thankful she feels safe and happy at school, not to mention how much she has learned and grown over this past year. I have nothing but great things to say about this school!

My oldest is finishing his last year at HRES before moving to HRMS. I cannot say enough good things about the teachers at this school. For both of my kids, every single year, I've been blown away by the incredible professionalism, teaching passion and sincere compassion for the kids that their teachers have shown. They are just incredible. The dealt with the move to virtual with such positivity and creativity, making the most out of a hard situation. Again this year, with required masks and other rules, they have managed to maintain the highest standards of teaching--my kids genuinely miss school when they have to be out for a sick day. Personally I don't think the principal is approachable. The VP seems to be though. I think the front desk staff is also kind of short with people (parents and the kids I see coming through) - but I rarely deal with any of those people and it is a small price to pay for the incredible teachers at HRES. Highly recommend quality of education and just feeling good about your kids being in their care all day - while teachers are NOT daycare, the fact is that our kids are under their care and I couldn't ask for a better experience for my kids.

Extremely disappointed and honestly disturbed by this school.This school has completely failed my child in multiple ways. My daughter was in kindergarten and was told to “figure it out herself” when she asked for help. That is unacceptable for any school, let alone for such young children who are supposed to be supported and guided.The lack of organization and care is alarming. They mixed up my child’s records with another parent I have a legal protection order against, which is already a serious issue. What’s even worse is that they then placed my child into that individual’s vehicle. That is a massive safety failure that could have ended very badly.The leadership is just as concerning. The principal does not take accountability or address parents directly. Instead, everything gets passed off, and concerns are not handled with the seriousness they deserve. There is a clear lack of leadership and responsibility.It’s incredibly frustrating because this school used to be known as a good school under previous leadership, but it has gone completely downhill. The environment now feels careless and unsafe, and it’s clear that the well-being of the children is not being prioritized the way it should be.I would strongly urge any parent to think twice before sending their child here. What I experienced is not just poor communication, it’s a serious failure to protect and support students.
