"We have lived here for 25 years and loved it. Planes are noisy at times but otherwise very quiet. A great place to sit on your deck or patio. Rarely windy in the valley, very pleasant. "

"I grew up here and our neighbors are very friendly. It's pretty quiet and peace. The city is close by but you still feel separate from it. "

"There is an amazing walking path that goes the whole length of the heights. My family loves taking bike rides, walks, and runs all year. They keep it plowed all winter too! Great for the kids to get to school."

"Don't let your kids play on the streets and sidewalks. People own race cars and other toys so it can be loud at points."

"Too far to drive with heavy traffic. Some days it takes 30 minutes and its only 9 miles away. It should take 15 minutes at most. It’s worse in the winter! "

"The heights is a great area. It is very kid friendly. We live in Alkali Creek and we always see kids outside playing. It’s a place where neighbors help neighbors. "

"I drive my truck to work every day. It’s an average time of 15 to 20 minutes each way. There’s a lot of traffic during my usual commute because of timing"

"Smaller yards, but thankfully there is a large park and field to use. New walking path around the subdivision is a huge plus too. "

"Everyone waves and says hello. I have enjoyed seeing the Antelope in the yard or surrounding area. It is peaceful for early morning coffee with my grandkids, the views and fresh air. A great place to live and in my case visit. I love it."

"Nice and quiet. Love seeing the deer around. Close to both of my jobs. Have a lot of family that lives here in the heights so no matter what part of the heights I live in, I’ll still have them close by. "

"Everyone watches out for each other. In the evening when we get home, you can stand outside for hours visiting about so many things. If we are leaving town, our neighbors keep watch over our house and we we do the same for them. It feels like a family and not just a neighborhood. "

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids have attended Sandstone for 5 years now. I like their character development, their hard stance on bullying, and the teachers have all been great. My kids are Native American and one of them is special needs. Sandstone has been accommodating and sensitive to my kids' needs.Parent Review8y ago4 Reviews - Alkali Creek Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFeeling very frustrated with the lack of communication the school has. Why do they completely reply on phone apps?? What happened to sending out a monthly flyer to let you know there is a concert/activity/etc… I do like their math program and that I can “see” my child’s work via *one* of the apps used by the school to parents. I don’t want to be forced to rely on it for information provided last minute. Work/schedules need to be planned/altered in advance of activities so this information is nice to know ahead of time in a printed flyer. Secondly, my child had been “lost” by their teacher on more than one occasion (thankfully they don’t usually run off but scary nonetheless). There’s more but those are my biggest two. I can’t tell if this is a school issue or more likely a district one. Overall, disappointed and will be going elsewhere.Parent Review1y ago6 Reviews - Eagle Cliffs Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids do so well at Eagle Cliffs. Every concern has been addressed regarding bullying and if my child was struggling with something they have always been willing to work out a game plan with our family to help them succeed. If I have any questions staff members have been more than open. Mrs. Hornby has been wonderful to interact with and my children love Mrs. Salazar also.Parent Review8mo ago5 Reviews - Beartooth Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love Beartooth Elementary!!! Striving forward under new administration, Beartooth is making big strides and is becoming a community centered school with student led projects and activities. A strong character education strategy has been implemented over the past two school years with the results of higher attendance rates, rising proficiency scores, and lots of smiles and laughing. We work hard, we play hard, we learn more every day.Teacher Review7y ago2 Reviews
