"events sponsored by my Apartment complex. Usually 12 or more people attend. The area is growing with new business and apartments. The street car trolley will be a plus for this area."

"My drive is pretty nice. It’s a very convenient location so I can get pretty much anywhere I need to go in about 10 minutes. I am often asked by homeless men if I can give them money "

"There are lots of parks and open fields. A dog park is within walking distance or a short drive. There is also forest park within walking distance or a five minute car/ bike ride."

"I don't really know yet. I would have to live in the area first before I give you my opinion. Also I would have to stay at least 2 night's so I would know my opinion for sure."

"Have lived here for 17 years off and on. I really enjoy the proximity to Forest Park, the Loop and the entertainment district in the Central West End. I also enjoy friendly neighbors and the vibe of the neighborhood."

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAlthough the school is closed now I've always wanted to write a review about how they treat children who learn different. I'm not at all surprised that they're now closed down. Maybe if they hadn't kicked children out who they thought would lower their ranking/ percentage, they would have had better luck.. You reap what you sow. My daughter went there briefly for 4th grade But I was told she couldn't return unless I allowed them to fail her. The teacher clearly had prejudice views being that my daughter came from SLPS. One day while picking my daughter up, the teacher said, "Well she can read". Afterwards I stopped speaking to her. So she convinced the principal and the person, I forgot her name, who's supposed to help students needing 1 on 1, that my daughter should repeat fourth grade. I pulled her out and while there are some holes in her education due to transferring to different schools and the pandemic, she will still graduate in 2026. Her wanting to fail my daughter would affect her throughout the years because she really liked the school. We were at peace and away from the bullying and then were given an ultimatum of failing or not returning. This scarred my daughter, but I've been convincing her throughout the years that she can do it and she did not deserve to fail. So while I feel bad for the students at St Roch, I don't feel bad for the staff because they don't care for kids unless they are excelling academically. They cared more about looking like a top performing Catholic school. Now they're no school at all and will now have to accommodate ALL children even those who learn different styles since they've now merged due to low numbers. That's how God and the universe works.Parent Review11mo ago11 Reviews
