Stony Creek

I went to this school for seventh and eighth grade. It was truly and amazing experience. Yes, there were many frustrations I had with the school. Some were very few teachers who didn't exactly respect the students and were'nt very good at teaching. The dress code is pretty reasonable, although I feel the tracking disciplinary sheet is a bit extreme as every small mistake, like forgetting a book in the locker, gets you a mark and if you get three in two weeks you get a write up that supposedly goes on your "permenant record". Its hard to be perfect. The school is also a bit small, and there's less oppurtunities to showcase talents. Honestly, the whole reason I loved those two years is because of most of the staff and students. The teachers are so understanding and make learning engaging, and they treat our age, not quite like adults, but not like children either. They really helped me manage time and stress. The friends and bonds I made at South Arbor were truly unforgettable and they lasted for so long. I loved every moment of school, even if we were complaining about problems. Students were intellectual, understanding, and compassionate(most of them). I loved NJHS a lot, too, and the christmas and valentine's day programs. I had a lot of fun. I want to give a shout out to Mr. Middlin, the current dean of middle school, though when I went to school, he was the (best) band teacher. He contributed a lot to the school, and he completely deserves his post, although I'm sure everyone misses him as a Band teacher! I am happy to be one student of his last graduating band class of South Arbor. Thank you South Arbor, Sincerely, a student

The Sunday phone calls are a lifesaver. I don’t always have a chance to read parent square but these Sunday calls are amazing!
