6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo I used to be a student at Zilwaukee, from Kindergarten to 8th grade. I've never been to another school but this one until 7th grade, where I went to another [better] school for half a day (Other school in the morning, Zilwaukee in the afternoon) For Elementary, it felt like a great experience. The teachers were terrific and encouraging. It was when Middle School where things went bad. The teachers were still encouraging students to learn, but a majority of students were an incredibly bad role model for younger students. They often got into fights, some smoked cigarettes, and just plain obnoxious and terrible. Not everyone were like this, fortunately. The staff did try to contain this chaos, but I didn't see it work. I had to deal with loud and abhorrent classmates throughout my classes, as it was difficult to concentrate. I am now in 10th grade at the other school, and I would not recommend Zilwaukee for middle school, even though I loved the staffOther Review10y ago1 Reviews
