I see there were good reviews four years ago but the school unfortunately has gone down hill since then. The school has been good for my child who was shy and anxious. Better than a traditional public school. They handle bullying effectively and in a timely manner (most of the time). Most of the teachers put a good curriculum together however the grading system is broken. Communication with parents is lacking. It is clear the teachers are burnt out and do not get a lot of support from admin. It should not take so much work on the parents part to help their student catch up or stay caught up. There should be better communication when a child is struggling. It is hard for students to get good grades here. I would consider the assignments and expectations to be college level but unfortunately most of the population at the school cannot achieve that level with current grading system, lack of grading on time and poor communication. So the student gets blamed for short comings when potentially the teacher might be falling short. The expectations and grading system need to reflect the current student population and abilities especially after Covid. Given a good revamp and perhaps so staffing changes it could be a good school again.
