The school has made a huge improvement in its learning progress. Hiring new administration staff and changing out the principal. My son is in fourth grade now and I am very happy with not only his learning achievements, but also the focus on social and emotional well being.

My children received an excellent education at this school. The teachers are well trained and truly care about their students. My children also have a strong biblical foundation that I have not seen anywhere else. The school is small, but the kids form life long friendships and get more attention from teachers. You have to attend church regularly and be able to agree to their belief statements ( so that you know what they will be teaching your kids). There ACT scores are in the high to mid 20's. All around I loved having my kids here.

As a former student who attended St. Joseph School for many years, I can honestly say that my experience left me disappointed and frustrated. As an alumna, I can say that one of the biggest issues I experienced was blatant favoritism from some teachers toward certain friend groups. When it came to discipline, it often felt unfair and inconsistent. Instead of taking the time to hear every side of a situation, assumptions were often made first and consequences came second. Students were frequently treated differently depending on who they were friends with.Another major concern was the lack of professionalism. Throughout my time at the school, I witnessed behavior that I did not think was appropriate for educators, including teachers gossiping with parents and even certain students they favored.After attending this school my entire life, I only encountered a handful of genuinely caring teachers, and even fewer that had stayed for more than a year.I was also concerned by what appeared to be inconsistent dress code enforcement.Girls whose bodies were more developed received far more comments about their uniforms than others, leaving many students feeling embarrassed, uncomfortable, and unfairly singled out.The school's resources also seemed to decline after covid. There were times when they didn’t have enough school lunches for students, and once they gave children expired milk, resulting in many going home sick.One of the most upsetting parts of my experience was seeing students with learning differences struggle without enough support. I also witnessed bullying toward some of these students that was not addressed at all. In addition, I observed students from different racial backgrounds being openly mocked with racial stereotypes, and I never once saw those situations addressed by staff.Overall this school was a mess. Do not send your kiddo here unless you want them getting picked on by immature teachers that are involved in student conflicts. The environment often felt disorganized, unprofessional, and unfair. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
