"Lansing has okay public transportation, however I use my car. Depending on the location of your job the commute is usually quick and simple. There is easy access to the expressway and the surface roads move pretty quickly."

"We have access to public transportation, however it is not my preferred method of travel in Lansing. I use my car or bike (could walk as well) to work and groceries. Commute is not long, nor is traffic heavy."

"The neighbors are very friendly and often help each other, clearing a sidewalk of snow, watching out for each other during bad weather or vacations. "

"I absolutely love this neighborhood! Close (less than a mile walk) to the Lansing river trail and hawk island. One of my favorite places and neighborhoods I have lived in "

"It’s usually quiet but a cross street about 6 blocks away is used for police & emergency vehicles. Also, though advertised & purchased based on “dog-friendly” needs, is definitely not."

"Waldo park, Poxon park and Everett park have made great destinations for our double stroller. The majority of the homes in this neighborhood are well kept and tactfully decorated per season. I had greatly underestimated how important the stroller territory would be before I moved to this area of the city."

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was once a student at Lyons Elementary, and now I have children attending the school. Unfortunately, the environment does not feel the same as it once did.I’ve noticed what seems to be a very passive approach from the current principal, Ms. Arocha, when it comes to addressing concerns such as bullying and staff conduct. There have also been ongoing issues with certain non-teaching staff overstepping their roles, concerns about inappropriate behavior on school grounds, and situations involving parking and crossing guard enforcement that feel excessive and unprofessional. As a parent and former student, I simply want to see the school provide a safer, more structured, and more supportive environment for the children and families in the communityParent Review1mo ago7 Reviews - Immaculate Heart Of Mary-St Casmir School
