My son attended FCA for a month and half before I removed him due to safety issues. I signed my son up for after school tutoring which is from 330p to 430p. The first day of tutoring when picked him up I noticed that him one other student were standing outside alone unsupervised. The next time I went to pick up my son I noticed that he was upset walking towards Wyoming alone. When I got my son into the car I asked him “Why was he walking towards Wyoming?” He told me he was walking towards Wyoming because he had just had a fight with another little boy. I asked him why didn’t he go back in the school my son said “I did try and go back inside the school, but they told me I could not come back inside.” I was FURIOUS! The very next day I called up to FCA and I spoke with the Dean of students about fighting incident that took place the day before after tutoring. And I asked why wasn’t my son allowed back inside the building?! The Dean expressed to me “That students in grades 3rd to 8th grade are not allowed back into the school, and that parents are responsible for picking up their children.” I asked him “Are you serious?! Sir, this school sits on Schoolcraft and Wyoming one of thee worse neighborhoods and you guys making these kids stand outside alone unsupervised and turning them away if they knock on the school door asking for assistance.” He repeated to me again that it is the parents responsibility to make sure that their child is picked up at 330p. After that I knew I had to remove my son because from that point I knew this school did not care about the safety of the kids that were attending. I would “NEVER” recommend this school to any parent.
