The first year my son came here, it was great. There was structure and leadership. Now, in his first year of high school, it hurts me say, the school has gone downhill. There has been an exodus of students and teachers, and with them went the structure. My son's teacher is fantastic, but I feel badly for her. She's the only one teaching the high school grades now. Communication and decision-making by the leadership is inefficient. We have friends from church bring their daughter here to attend the fifth grade. Their daughter's teacher is not a certified teacher at all, because of the lack of staff. Had I known this was going to be an issue, I would have never recommended this school. My friends' daughter is now doing poorly here, and the lack of transparency is concerning. My husband and I have made the decision to not have our son return next year.
