2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEverything about this school is so wrong they are only worried about the Hispanic kids ,for example BLACK HISTORY MONTH is just that trying to include Latin,African and carribean is disrespectful to the black Americans the fault for freedom and justice so other could use it as a personal gain or recognition factor without showing respect to the black Americans that paved the way for you and don’t want to forget how they constantly made it seem like my child was a trouble maker when he’s trying to make new friends ,it’s not his fault Hispanic kids don’t understand EnglishParent Review2mo ago8 Reviews - Dr. Gustavus Brown Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son started in childcare when he was just 6 weeks old, and The Goddard School of Waldorf became an important part of his early journey. Today, at 19, he is close to completing one of the most demanding elite military training paths in the country. His achievement is his own, but as parents, we truly believe strong beginnings matter. What I want other families to know is this: investing in a child during the first five years is worth everything. Those early years build the foundation for learning, confidence, social development, and emotional growth. A loving, safe, and consistent environment makes a lasting difference. We are grateful to Mr. Akhil, Ms. Hasna, the management team, and the faculty for the care, commitment, and consistency they continue to bring to the school. The Goddard School of Waldorf played a meaningful role in our son’s early years, and we would absolutely recommend it to families looking for a strong, nurturing start for their children.Parent Review2mo ago12 Reviews - Waldorf Christian Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe information on this school needs to be updated; this school only admits 2-5 year olds. My daughter attended Pre-K4 here and we are very pleased with this school. One of the reasons why I chose this school is because it was small and didn t have a lot of students, which I thought was the ideal environment for my daughter who was coming out of a small in-home daycare. The school is clean and has newly renovated bathrooms for the kids and they also have a full size gym that the kids use in the winter or when the weather does not allow them to play outside. They also have full time security on the premises. The Director and the teachers are attentive and my daughter loves them. She is sent home with homework every day, even on weekends, and they have a special project to do every month. She is thriving at this school. I would recommend it to anyone.Parent Review12y ago1 Reviews - Southern Maryland Christian Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSMCA it a total-institution. No freedom. No regard for privacy. Sexism. Racism. Grim atmosphere. Rampant bullying complete with faculty who VICTIM-BLAME. Brainwashing, control. If you do not conform to their cookie-cutter molds, then they will outcast and demonize you. My biggest concern is the fact that this school prohibits free thinking, the most important aspect to individuality. In fact, SMCA discourages individuality. If you want to see this place in action, look up the Another Brick in the Wall music video.Bullying testimony:A male classmate harassed me. He spread rumors about me and defamed my character. When brought to the attention of the "dean of students", she insinuated that I was the problem, not the boy cursing me out and diminishing my reputation. She sent me to talk to the counselor which accomplished nothing, instead of taking action herself. The counselor went on to minimize my situation by denying that the boy was "all that bad". And despite the undertones of my story CLEARLY pointing to assault, she failed to treat my case with the seriousness it deserved. I am still in therapy. Oh yeah, aren't you supposed to be mandatory reporters? For the sake of future victims of this (total) institution, end the brick-making and provide justice for bullying and assault.Other Review3mo ago30 Reviews - Beddow School - Waldorf Campus

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe did not want to send our child to public school, so we started looking for private schools, we happened to find the Beddow School, and we could not be happier. It is the best school we could of found. To see my child grow has been amazing. The teachers are excellent and the admin. Is always sending out emails informing of activities and any reminders, and both are always on top of any issues. I can't imagine ever sending my child to another school, The Beddow School has set the standards high! We love this school and are so glad to have found it.Parent Review8y ago16 Reviews - Billingsley Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have been a parent at this school since it opened in 2019. In my opinion, the rating does not accurately reflect the quality of learning at this school, rather the impact of COVID on the ability of a new school to rebound after a global pandemic. My children have excelled at this school and with the older of the two going on to take accelerated classes in middle school. The teachers at this school are some of the most supportive, engaging, and communicative teachers I have ever met as a parent. I would highly recommend this school to anyone moving to this school district.Parent Review1y ago1 Reviews
