9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf your child needs help and support don’t let the blue ribbon award fool you. Special education here is often given by a para pro (not even a certified teacher.). Admin will spend more time hiding your child’s weakness so they don’t have to be held accountable or give any intervention. They began to read my child’s tests outloud to him so he would get As and Bs and then used his inflated grades to deny him help (despite him being 2 years behind in reading). Of course they didn’t communicate to me that he was getting assistance on his tests. It was disgusting. Principal sits in her office all day and only responds to parents if you reach out to a board or council member. I was extremely disappointed with the entire admin, counselors and special education team. I know others in special ed who have had a similar experience. They put all the kids in GT classes to try and accelerate the scores but won’t help the ones behind.Parent Review9mo ago17 Reviews - Joppa View Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience with this school has been horrible. The staff are unprofessional and rude. They have poor ways of teaching and communicating. The principal is a coward and is also rude . I would not recommend this school to anyone.Parent Review3w ago15 Reviews - St. Stephen School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur experience at St. Stephen School was ultimately not the right fit for our family. While there were caring individuals within the school community, we found the classroom environment difficult to navigate at times, particularly due to peer dynamics and behavioral concerns within a very small grade structure. With only one homeroom class per grade level, classroom composition becomes especially important, and there is understandably very little flexibility when a particular mix of students proves challenging socially or behaviorally. We experienced multiple incidents involving aggressive peer behavior that extended beyond what we personally considered typical childhood conflict. While we understand that all schools and classrooms face behavioral challenges from time to time, we often felt concerned by the frequency and intensity of certain situations and did not always feel confident in the consistency of how they were addressed. After transitioning to another private school environment, it also became clear to us that our child had not been academically challenged to the degree we had originally expected. The difference in academic expectations, classroom structure, and overall educational rigor was noticeable. For our family, it became increasingly important that our child feel consistently safe, supported, emotionally settled, and academically engaged within the school environment. Ultimately, we made the decision that a different educational setting would be a better fit moving forward. As with any school, fit is highly individual, and another family may have a very different experience depending on their child’s personality, peer group, and classroom dynamic.Parent Review1mo ago37 Reviews - Perry Hall Christian School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis was our first year at PHCS and we have found it to be a welcoming environment for our middle school aged daughter. The faculty members are supportive, communicative, and knowledgeable. We can tell that they are invested in the students and really have a passion for teaching and encouraging them. They are very accessible and willing to help however they can. There are two counselors on staff who provide extra support as needed. There are many opportunities for parental involvement and there is a well-knit community as part of the school culture. Biblical principles are the foundation of the school with solid teaching and modeling inside and outside of the classroom. We appreciate the emphasis on involving students in service activities and extracurricular activities. In addition to sports teams, there are many ways for students to be active outside of the classroom such as clubs, musical groups and honor societies.Parent Review1mo ago19 Reviews - Honeygo Elementary
