My son went to this school for almost a whole school year and unfortunately I had to pull my special needs son out immediately.I initiated updating my sons transportation and made three points of contact, two written, to update this. They mistakenly sent my special needs son to the wrong home to which we both had severe emotional reactions to. The issue is when i asked for a meeting and an apology directly to my son by phone and in writing to ensure his safety was a priority they ignored several requests. All of this i have written proof for and I have reported the school. But the Assistant Principal and Special Needs Coordinator Kim Woods handled things incredibly unprofessionally so I removed my son.

So many good things to say about this school and it’s and administration. We moved from Arlington, VA where there were top notch schools. I’d say this school’s special education teachers (Mrs. Gaugh, Ms. Ichoku, Mr. Reheard)Mrs. Albright (principal) and Mrs. Lynam (VP) truly love their school and know each kid by name. One of my kids went there for only 1 year which was the virtual year and the teachers and admin still ask about him. Most of the gen ed teachers are good so far if not amazing. Principal and VP are very involved in after school events. Parents are pretty involved and you have to sign up right away for helping with field trips, class parties, etc or you won’t get a spot. Band and orchestra are competitive here and miss the old band teacher who left a couple years ago. Now band teacher tends to focus more on those who have a natural talent for their instrument. Families are pretty friendly too. I’d recommend sending your kids here. Love CLES <3333

Wonderful environment for learning. Teachers and staff are truly invested in every child's growth.

My son attends this school and has been for 3 years now. Not only is he bullied by his peers, after I reported the bullying the Principal dismissed it as bullying. Even though it's been ongoing for 3 whole years. They'll look into it, observe the behavior, investigate it, and do their best within their legal ability and then dismiss it. My son is still facing the bullies to this day. The wellness room AKA NURSE is a joke. The nurse isn't allowed to give the kids medicine for a headache or migraine. My son had a migraine, went to the wellness room (NURSE) and was sent back to class. They told him it's not that serious. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? MY SON WAS IN TEARS AND IN PAIN. I WAS NOT CALLED ONCE!! Don't get me started on the teachers that YELL and SCREAM at the kids.EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS SCHOOL.
