4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs close to a 5 as possible. The school could improve slightly on dealing with bullying in that my child had an issue with another student and when the teacher saw the situation both kids got in trouble. I strongly believe that a child should be able to defend him or herself without fear of reprisals from both the bully and the teacher.Parent Review7y ago5 Reviews - Pawtucketville Memorial Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy School is . AWESOME! I left early childhood for years until I kept hearing about this program. I was so impressed with their quality that I started teaching again here over 12 years ago. We have just received our re-accredidation from NAEYC for the 3rd time and we are so proud of that accomplishment. Our goal is to care for and educate children in a family friendly and affordable center that continuously strives to be better in everything we do. Some of our staff has been here for anywhere from 12 years ( like me) to 15, 20, 30, and 40 years!! That speaks volumes to the quality of a school where the staff is dedicated to every child in their care. We will see you soon ;)Teacher Review11y ago4 Reviews - Ste Jeanne D'arc Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOk, Ste Jeanne d'Arc School is in my opinion over-rated. I am a student in 7th grade in the school right now, and can't wait to move schools. the homework load is un-reasonable, I spent 3.5- 5 hours on homework each day (and no, I don't procrastinate). The teachers give homework on the weekends, and I have had to cancel plans with friends to do the amount of work they gave me. I don't even get a lot of family time! most of the work is un-called for and useless, its just a waste of time. I have had to stay up until one in the morning to finish my homework, and then get up at a ridiculous time to get to school. Also as you get more advanced and go to the next grade, the teachers become much meaner and barely compliment the kids. This makes me feel worthless, like Im not good enough and never will be. The teachers and principle only see the students as another "thing" they have to fix or make better, not as people. I have been bullied for the past few years, and there has net been much to any discipline there either. The the teachers are really a hit or miss, some are nice and some are just cruel. They go through 4-6 teachers a year, so the kids always have to adjust to a new teacher. The leadership is horrible. everything is based off popularity. The same people get the same things each year (scholarships, student council votes, raffle wins, etc.). the school does not really help kids with learning differences (there is a child with a learning disability in my class), they just let them use their books for tests when the rest of the class cannot. They give us only one way to learn, one mindset, and creativity is non- existent to them, not even in art, we have to so the art a certain way or we don't do art at all. they make the kids hate themselves, and feel a need to change themselves to reach their high standards. I feel like a prisoner in the uniforms, our hair (how dare I wear a headband that's not in the schools colors, or have bangs), and as I said, even our artwork. Trust me, if you want to break your kid, put them here, If you don't want your kids to hate themselves, shop around, put them elsewhere. Don't let anyone fool you.Student Review5y ago13 Reviews - Franco American School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere is so much to say about why I love this school! The teachers are fabulous. They challenge these kids but are also very caring. Students are very well prepared for high school and beyond. The curriculum is always being updated - We have a brand new reading program, new technology, a relatively new math program, etc. Former FAS students are on the honor roll and dean's list at all sorts of area high schools and colleges. The school is still run by the Sisters of Charity, so there also is a wonderful emphasis on faith. There are lots of extracurricular opportunities for these kids, too - soccer, cross country, basketball, cheerleading, and track. There's also intramural basketball, kickball, and bowling for younger kids. My kids also participate in choir, the engineering club after school, violin, and piano. Students who qualify academically also have the opportunity to be in a leadership and service group in middle school called Beta Club. This school offers wonderful opportunities for the students to grow academically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially. We love it here!Parent Review10y ago17 Reviews - Dynamic Foundations For Children
