"There is a new French high school being built on Leonidas. The French middle school isn’t too far from the site of the new high school."

"I live here. House is directly across from Stuart Hall (non-entry side) so the area is well maintained. No noise, whatsoever during summer months when school is closed; only cheerful children playing for 10 minutes in the morning M-F during school year. "

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAbsolutely wonderful school. The teachers and faculty are amazing and that aides in the boys becoming well rounded and more disciplined. I have two boys there and they actually enjoy going to school. The school is challenging and the boys feel a sense of accomplishment when they perform well and when they don't it's a great learning opportunity. The school has a great community as well. We feel very blessed to have our kids go here.Parent Review4mo ago9 Reviews - St Joan Of Arc Roman Catholic School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience at SJA is GREAT! If parents had a bad experience at SJA or have given this school bad remarks, it's because they DID NOT want to follow the school policies. Ms. Frost does enforce her school policies as well as the teachers. Some of the parents should remember if you do not follow directions, how do you expect your children to follow directions when they see you are not doing it .... Food for thought.Parent Review6y ago5 Reviews - Lycee Francais De La Nouvelle-Orleans

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school was a French, full French immersion school, where English was a class period every day. Students were on track to graduate with their American diploma and their baccalaureate until the curriculum was drastically changed to having French only every other day so it is no longer a Full immersion school where your child is completely immersed in the second language. With dozens of firings and a purge of more than 200 students, they finished it off with a name change and a relocation. Now the school is called LF international de Louisiane. It is in no way the same school. As far as the new school, hostile, overly strict and threatening to those who do not comply. I had to take my child out after four years and after the start of the fifth year when things got too bad to look the other way. I can tell you that she is an excellent student, but is not on her grade level right now and had to go to an all English school because there was not another French immersion school that she could attend as we are in Jefferson Parish. All articles are still in the schools previous name and I urge you to do your research before choosing this school for your child because more than likely, just like the rest of us, you will find yourself looking desperately for another school once you realize what’s really going on over there.Parent Review6mo ago11 Reviews
