"Nothing that I can think of. It’s not very safe, so most people stay inside a lot of the time. Second lines maybe?"
  • Trulia User
"I don't know about this part of the city. but it's close to downtown CBD. so it's convenient if working downtown "
  • Trulia User

"The area is safe and a family area. Neighbors are really nice and look out for one another. Kids are able to play outside at the playground without any issues. Safety is important "

"My neighborhood is close to downtown you can walk a lot of places. I currently have no car but I can still walk to the closest Rouses in 10 minutes and carry my groceries home. If you’re a sport fan you can walk to the Superdome and when Mardi Gras is on all I have to do is walk outside my building and I’m in the heart of the parade "

"Central city is a great centrally located neighborhood. OC Haley has really started to develop with wonderful locally owned shops and restaurants. Living in central city is perfect blend of everything New Orleans has to offer! "
  • Jorge C.
"There aren’t any tourist around and if one of them accidentally books an airBNB here. They’re normally targets when walking around drunk in the middle of the night"
  • Mporycki
"There are no community specific events that I’m aware of aside from an occasional second line, or Mardi Gras parade. "
  • Chad A.
"Many breeds are welcomed and live in the area. Several people do not scoop and pick up behind them while walking them. "
  • Tinglersuzi

"Dangerous dangerous dangerous,! We’ve gotten our cars broken into twice, car stolen once and we are heckled constantly by homeless people when we go outside to walk our dog"
  • Adamdamore
"LYFT only. It is too unsafe to walk, bus, or drive in Central City New Orleans. With LYFT I do not need to walk alone outside or risk an automobile."
  • Darnellhulbert
