Belfield

My children have been attending this school for the past 5 years. Some years have been great, while others have been a little rough. I believe their experience largely depends on who their teacher is. Some teachers are very involved, while others have poor communication. Mrs. Mitchell was my older daughter's teacher last year, and she absolutely loved her. She excelled with her, and it was the first time I had ever seen her get excited about school work and feel confident and prepared to take tests.My younger daughter is enrolled in the French Immersion program, and I highly recommend it. It's amazing to hear her speak fluently with her teacher, and I believe the program has accelerated her learning ability. In first grade, she was reading at an almost fourth-grade level.Overall, we have enjoyed our time at Gillis. I will be sad when they move on to another school.
