I think that this school provides the best education abd communication that it possibly could with the resources that it have. There is NO perfect situation. Parental support needs to happen more often with a collaborative and positive impact. Instead of blame gaming and finger pointing. Parental and educational support for Parents is needed in our Community badly. Community elaboration, School Board members, and staff ideas and SUPPORT are also important. Laplace Elementary is structured in the community and Community Involvement is NECESSARY for its Success.

Horrible, absolutely horrible school. The kids are terrible and as they do have some great teachers, they can not do their job when these kids are only there cause its the law.

This is not review but I am curious about some things. I am thinking about applying for the principal job. Why did the original principal leave? ( resign or fired) How long will the school remain open? What are the expectations for a new principal? Thanks

Ascension of Our Lord Catholic School would not let my son participate in the promotion ceremony because of a balance that was still owed. My son was really sad that the principal, Ms. Addie Melancon, would not let him participate in his promotion ceremony, which is cruel and hurtful to a child.
