5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have had three children now attend Tully Elementary - one graduated several few years ago and the other two are close to finishing up their years at Tully. Our children vary from being incredibly advanced to one who struggles with reading and needs a bit of extra support. On both ends of this spectrum, Tully has exceeded our expectations. Our very advanced child was challenged and put into special groups with other advanced children from an early age so that he would be challenged and not be bored. He was more than prepared for a magnet middle school. Our child that struggles a bit more with academics has had the extra support they have needed to excel and feel good about school and learning. The teachers overall have been kind, warm, and excellent teachers. Tully is a large school and with that comes many options and experiences for students. From extra-curricular activities and sports to STEM lab classes to fun community events - Tully is able to bring great opportunities to students. With the rare exception my children have loved going to school each day and have been excited about school at Tully. From the leadership to the teachers to the coaches to the lunchroom staff - my kids love Tully and the adults that they interact with and learn from daily. We are grateful for our many years at this school!Parent Review1y ago - Cochrane Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSave your kids and yourself by NOT sending them to this school. The teachers are bullies. Their bus system is a joke. The pick up and drop off times range from 15 minues to an HOUR! They do not inform if a bus is running late and whebn you try to get a hold of anyone there is no answer. The office ladies are also bullies and call parents that fight for their kids "Karens". This school should be shut down. Or better yet just find all new staff. The grade of this school shows! Low test scores!Parent Review1y ago - St Michael School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI came to this school back in 2015, and was transitioning from public school to private school. My mom was worried about me slipping through the cracks if I went to a public middle school, so that why she sent me here. Honestly though my experience at St. Michaels did the exact thing my mom was afraid of. It was a very traumatic experience filled with bullying by students and teacher, lying, and loneliness. When I finally graduated in 2018, let's just say it was the happiest day of my life when I left in my graduation gown knowing I would never have to go back ever again. When I walked into highschool I had the lowest test scores, so no they don't care about a students education. I had an extremely bad mental state, and very much wanting to leave the earth. The only good thing that came out of those three years was one of the greatest friendships I've ever had. I beg you please don't send your child here. There are much more capable schools out there who actually want to help your child succeed and to meet there emotional needs as well.Other Review10mo ago - St. Barnabas Catholic School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI highly recommend the Academy for Individual Excellence (AIE) in Louisville (Jeffersontown), KY, especially if your child does not do well in a traditional school setting. Our son started at AIE last year after a bad experience with virtual school at his public school during the pandemic. He had fallen behind academically and also struggled with high functioning autism. While his public school teachers (including an autism specialist and a counselor) tried very hard to help him, AIE has made him positive about school again. He resisted going to school (when it was in-person) from pre-school through 4th grade, but last year in 5th grade at AIE, things started to get better. Now, in 6th grade, he's doing great and doesn't resist going to school anymore. We like AIE so much that we transferred our 3rd grade daughter there and my wife got a job teaching there. While the academics are not "Ivy League prep," AIE has relieved much of the stress and anxiety my son felt about school before and he is catching up well after the pandemic. AIE's school setting is not for everyone, but its unique approach to learning and Christian values have been very helpful for our kids and family.Parent Review1y ago - RSM Louisville LLC
