6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is a wonderful school. Every adult in the school knows my child, and knows if something is off they can call me. My daughter didn't feel challenged with certain areas in class, and she was given different work to challenge her. There is no excessive bullying in her class, the kids tend to stand up for one another. There might be low testing, but I am not worried about it. If a child wants to learn, they will find ways to learn. Learning doesn't stop in the classroom. The parents need to continue it at home. I have been in contact with my daughter's teachers weekly to make sure she is on track, and to find out what we need to work on at home. The diversity is wonderful! My daughter has learned about different cultures, and because of that is more tolerant when someone is different from her. With the way the world is today, we need to teach our children more tolerance, and this school does that. This school has been absolutely wonderful about making sure my daughter receives the education that she needs. They have also help create wonderful memories that we will both carry for the rest of our lives. Most people that have problems with this school don't like the rules that they instill and expect from our children, or don't take an interest in the children's learning after school is out. Any time I have any issue, no matter how small, the school has been willing to help in any way possible. I wouldn't take my child out of this school for anything.Parent Review7y ago13 Reviews - Beechgrove Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers at this school are amazing. However, the administration and Family resource coordinator:Julia Goodman should be reevaluated she has her favorite families and only helps the ones who benefit her. It’s sad because living in the community and having children graduate from this school, kicking them out of programs while allowing others to participate is pure favoritism.Parent Review1y ago6 Reviews - James A Caywood Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall amazing school! Both my kids went here since kindergarten. One negative thing I’d wish they would Work on is engaging more with the shy and quiet kids more. Maybe get a buddy system together. I know I’m not the only parent who feels this way. Both of my daughters dealt with social anxiety and just overall awkwardness. My youngest one more so than my oldest. I drop my youngest off and I watch the teachers that stand outside, and they hardly even look at her. A simple hi or complement to her would make all the difference in the world to her. When you see a child having difficulties making friends you would think that these teachers would make more of an effort into helping them. Breaks my heart. But it’s a great school overall. Like I said the only negative I would have to say is they need to work on helping the shy and quiet kids get out of their shell.Parent Review3y ago8 Reviews - R C Hinsdale Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePod classrooms are not conducive with learning for many kids. We came from somewhere that had individual classrooms, my children were excelling. Here has been nothing but tears and being told our kids are struggling. If we could switch schools we totally would.Parent Review4y ago9 Reviews - Arnett Elementary School
