5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child had a wonderful experience at Yealey. There were some issues with other students that happened, but the way the staff handled them was great. My child loved all the staff and had a great time at Yealey. This school offers many wonderful programs too. Art, music, and more. I felt he was supported and cared for while there.Parent Review11mo ago8 Reviews - Florence Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI will start with the positives, my child who attends here has had great teachers who really seem to care about my child's education. The concerns I have are with Boone County as whole. This year my child has been experiencing bullying issues while in the classroom and the bus. My child has been coming home daily very distraught and cries that they don't want to go to school because they dont feel safe. The school is trying their best with the limited resources they have. However, I feel that the county could provide better support.. especially on the bus. There are serious safety concerns my child has experienced on the bus that have been going on all of this school year that have not been resolved. This includes being depanted on the bus, pushed, name called and more. Due to the schools limited resources, I felt that this should be escalated to actually resolve the issue. When talking to the superintendent's office, I spoke with Jamie. She advised that the bus is a luxury and I should provide transportation if I don't like it. She stated the school had no responsibilty to the action of the children on the bus and that this was at the parents discretion to handle. It is not that my child doesn't enjoy the bus, it is that there are constant physical safety concerns. And its very alarming that the school holds no credibility for the safety of our children during school hours while on the bus, and are not provided enough resources to control the reckless behavior of other students during school hours. This problem does not stop at the bus. My child has also been bullied during school hours. We have encountered multiple situations resulting in calls from the nurse to alert me what had happened to him while under the schools care.It is really infuriating that the district does not provide additional support such as a bus monitor for problematic busses, and are improperly staffed to care for the concerns during school hours as well.Jamie did do me a "favor" and called me back to let me know that I could pay out of pocket for a daycare bus service if I felt it was needed. Shame on Boone County for not doing better for their students!Parent Review2mo ago12 Reviews - Ockerman Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have a kindergartner and so far I and my husband absolutely love Ockerman. It really is an amazing school. Wonderful teachers and staff, curriculum that challenges my child academically and teaches him life lessons at the same time. They offer programs for advid readers and many more. They offer karate and ballet and have a wonderful library. Really just a phenomenal school.Parent Review10y ago6 Reviews - Erpenbeck Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers are fabulous. The principal in 2019 was terrible! She was a micromanager, very absorbed with herself, much more interested in her writing abilities and writing monotonous, lengthy, uninteresting tales every day that parents had little interest in reading (because we have families and children in our care). It would have been much better if she would have briefly written important details that concern our children. It was quite annoying every morning to scroll, scroll, scroll and scroll down through her lengthy Tome's to see if there was any significance regarding the school or our children!Parent Review3y ago6 Reviews - Childrens House of Union
