Marlana Walker has allowed her student teacher to speak harshly to her students. She is very impatient with the children and that is sad to see. I would not want this teacher to be my daughters teacher. she also lacks classroom management.

I went here from Kindergarten through 5th grade and I loved it! Teachers were super nice and knew everybody by name. They had open houses for each grade before school started so they could get to know their teacher. Even the lunch ladies were nice! They would have variety shows every year and everyone was so supportive and a local theatre group would come in and put on PHENOMENAL musicals at least twice a year too! Families would come in for Valentines, Christmas, Halloween and Thanksgiving parties! I made great friends that I still am friends with to this day! Wouldn't change a thing and I wouldn't have chosen a better place to grow up and learn at!

I know a teacher at Jackson, and she couldn't be more disillusioned by the school and especially its principal. How Kamiel Evans still has her job there is beyond my capability to understand. It's not like the school has been successfully churning out well-educated students under her direction. Does the USD 259 school board even pay attention to anything?

both of our boys go to this school...teachers and staff are very friendly and helpful. We have very open relationship with this school who actually cares for students bright future and guiding them to right paths as human beings first.

I attended Sunrise Christian Academy from Pre-K all the way through graduation, so I don't have any other personal experiences to compare it to. However, from hearing about the experience of others in public school, homeschool, and other private schools, I feel justified in my belief that I was blessed to be given such an opportunity. Sunrise cultivated my skills in music, graphic design, singing, language, mathematics, and drama, and shaped me into the man I am today like no other place could. Sure there's some hangups people have, and even I must admit some teachers, students, and protocols weren't my favorite. However, in my experience, teachers and staff were most often gracious and always willing to take time to personally help me though issues and make improvements for the better. After attending 4 years of college, I can say I was more intellectually and physically challenged at Sunrise than anywhere else.

The new administration is wonderful! My children are very happy with their teachers and school.
