5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI actually attended here starting in 1972 to 1978, at the time the educational process was excellent and were very high on all state testing. This pandemic has shown that there is no substitute for quality education or quality teachers! The online learning process needs much more refinement to make it a viable source of progressive learning. I think the entire system needs to take a deep breath and not point fingers about the past years and just don't give up, everything will be just fine and I hope you all the best. Your the people who help all these children build character and confidence. Be proud of the work you do !!!!! You folks deserve 3 times the salary you receive.Parent Review3y ago3 Reviews - Fairmont Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would caution any parent considering sending their children to this school. I was a wholehearted champion of this school but have become completely disheartened recently. At best, this is an average or below average school in the district. In the past two years, the class sizes have gotten larger, putting more pressure on teachers for "rigor" and fewer resources and aides in the classroom. My child has absolutely suffered as a result of this approach. Above average students are ignored in the classroom and subsequently can fall behind as teachers have to focus on the students already struggling. As a parent, it takes full time effort and involvement to stay on top of what they're studying and working on to notice where and when this is happening, i.e. logging into the child's Chromebook and checking their online work, watching when they do the work to make sure they actually understand the concepts, etc. Teachers do not have time to do this with classrooms packed well beyond what is an optimal number in order to lower costs. They've also removed a great deal of the opportunities for parents to come in and observe and participate in classroom learning (and the fun activities) unlike neighboring FKE which involves parents in their "learn at every turn" campaign.Parent Review3y ago10 Reviews - Slate Run Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOne of the biggest problems at this school is the lack of action when it comes to bullying. Students report issues, but the staff either downplays them or does nothing. There’s no consistent disciplinary system, and students don’t feel safe. The environment is toxic, and the school seems more concerned with protecting its image than protecting its students.Other Review7mo ago8 Reviews - Mount Tabor School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere is zero support when you question things that happen to your child. Particularly if it’s teachers who are bullying and targeting some students. Policies change at will. There are unrealistic expectations around homework. There is no consistency when it comes to what is assigned and how to know. They sometimes forget these are children. A lot of homework but behind on what they’re learning as compared to other Catholic schools.Other Review1y ago8 Reviews
