Read what parents are saying about Parkwood Elementary SchoolI actually attended here starting in 1972 to 1978, at the time the educational process was excellent and were very high on all state testing. This pandemic has shown that there is no substitute for quality education or quality teachers! The online learning process needs much more refinement to make it a viable source of progressive learning. I think the entire system needs to take a deep breath and not point fingers about the past years and just don't give up, everything will be just fine and I hope you all the best. Your the people who help all these children build character and confidence. Be proud of the work you do !!!!! You folks deserve 3 times the salary you receive.
Posted by a parent on 2/16/2023This school has a lot of support for ELL students. There are a lot of fun and engaging activities that the school does to connect to the community. They have a culture fair, a fall festival, math nights, ELL nights, and open houses. This school also has a lot of small-group instruction for kids.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe smugness of this school stands out in stark contrast to the quality of the education. The overall community isn't that great, or that welcoming. This is a group that is very happy with itself and isn't looking for new friends. The academics are very mediocre. I know Montessori is more self guided, but I felt like I carried almost all of the burden of educating my kids while they were at this school. At times I questioned why I wasn't home schooling them. It would have been less driving. There's little if any art, science is only nominally covered, and there's no reinforcement ofa math concepts. Math relies on mastering fundamentals, but I never got the impression my child's teacher's got that.Teachers were not concerned about anything at all during conferences. They always made me feel like I was a jerk for asking questions. But the worst part of this place is that, if your kids have special needs, they do not exist at this school and the director of the school will employ every bit of negging, gaslighting, or other vindictive behavior to convince you otherwise. She doesn't want to pay to accommodate your kid, so your life will be hell until you relent or leave. She will meet with you, and your kids' teacher. She will talk to the teacher like a parent would speak to a 4 year old. Then they will conclude that all is well, and you just have to follow their program because there's nothing wrong.Parent Review6mo ago - Clarksville Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school acts like a bully system. The stuff they’ve done and tried putting my family through over not signing a paper is very unprofessional. They’ve now done two things to our family because of refusing their paperwork. Not to mention an actual call on a Sunday from the principal and during that conversation the principal mentioned how well my child does and still insisted to stir up about a matter they had started. After denying them once again they furthered to pursue me and my husband and act out. Don’t send your child/children to this school it’s not what it seems on the outside.Parent Review1mo ago - Northaven Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter went to Northaven Elementary School in 2010, 2011. I wasn’t impressed, Now 2022 my granddaughter goes. Wow! Wow! Wow! The diversity, the focus on everyone learning. The ability to meet and teach my granddaughter. On her level, without dimming her down. I love this school. I love the direction the school is going in.Parent Review1y ago - Thomas Jefferson Elementary School
