"We have a multi-neighborhood picnic every year. It is really easy to make friends here. I have several life long kinds of friendship from living here since 1996. This neighborhood has the James Castle house as well. It's been restored and acts a an art museum of sorts. There are neighborhood groups you can join. Everything is within minutes of your door."

"There are two elementary schools very close to my home. I don’t have small children so I’m not very knowledgeable about other issues important to parents in this neighborhood.."

"Generally a great and safe area near many outdoor activities. Can hit a mountain biking or hiking trail within minutes, can grab coffee or a drink within a few minutes drive or walk, and neighbors either keep to themselves or are very friendly."

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI moved to Boise from the East Coast, (NYC) and I'm very pleased with the school, the teachers and the way I can interact with other parents about the well-being and education of my children. My children are getting a real education in a caring, safe and beautiful environment we never had in NYC. The respect I have for the teacher/student relationship is very high. More importantly, my children are excelling academically and they are learning history, math and English in a way that they also appreciate our community and our country. I've seen some parents get upset over such minor things and think they must walk in my shoes to see what a blessing this school is and Boise as a whole for me and my family. We traded concrete for trees and I think we made the best choice for our family. We found a great community and a wonderful school to go along with all the good things in Boise. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur kids have had an awesome experience at Cynthia Mann. I feel like every teacher has cared for my kids and gone above and beyond. It’s a good supportive community and I like how engaged their staff is with students and the events that they have. My kids feel cared for and have continued to grow academically, as well as socially and emotionally. I couldn’t have asked for a better school experience for my kids.Parent Review2y ago11 Reviews - Challenger School - Boise

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe did not have a good experience with Challenger School. The school is very secretive with their daily activities, the students don’t tell much, at least in pre-K. Until it comes to blatant breaks in discipline like flat out bullying and throwing educational supplies back at their teachers. Then they’re “taken to the principal’s office”. The overall perception is - parents are not allowed to see what is going on because it is an absolute mess back in the classrooms. Students’ possessions and clothing aren’t taken care of, students are being bullied… absolute mess. Not worth the investment.Parent Review2y ago5 Reviews - Hillside Academy
