"Good except during holidays and on Friday nights when it is a lot heavier. Since I live in town I am usually going the opposite way of incoming morning and afternoon traffic."

"Very safe neighborhood. Lots to do with your family. Some homeless every once in a while but it’s to be expected as we are in the city."

"Area is close to park and beach offering playing fields, paths for running, skating or biking. Lots of family friendly restaurants, fast food, takeout, farmers markets and desert options. Can walk easily to shop for clothes, food and toys."

"I don’t know of any to be honest. I don’t get to involved with community things. Pretty much work and come home. Maybe beach on weekends of something like that."

"Quick to get to the freeway and the University of Hawaii especially off of peak times. Really did not expect it to be as fast as it has been."

"If you work in town you can easily walk, catch the bus, or ride a bike to work. I’ve seen people even skateboarding to work. I walk everywhere and it is even possible to walk to Waikiki if you are in general good health. Of course you need to avoid the expensive parking fees in the downtown area."

"Convenient to just about anything except low prices. There is tremendous diversity in this multi cultural environment and people are very accepting."

"There are plenty of dogs but not all the businesses are dog friendly, nor is Hawaii all that dog friendly for that matter. The more crowded it gets the harder it is to walk a dog who does not get along socially with other dogs. "

"Great neighborhood for young professionals. Dog-friendly. Wish there were a little more restaurants and shops but it is still an up and coming area. Higher price tag is the only downfall. "

"safe and modern, but pricey. lots of professional residents, old and young, deteriorating traffic expected in. ext several years, lots of activities to do, ideal location for beach parks and shopping, could use more food choices, new public transportation system is expected in next few years."

"They would not like how small the doggy park areas are. They would like that you can walk them up and down the sidewalks and in the small grassy areas designated for dogs "

"There are food, fashion, yoga, events at SALT and in the areas nearby. The events are typically blocked off so it makes its easy to walk if you live in the area. "

"I have lived and work close by for the last five years and have truly loved it but I am thinking about moving because the cost is getting a little crazy for a three bedroom."

"Lots of great small owned shops, great restaurants, coffee houses, and craft breweries. This neighborhood has a little bit of everything. Weekly farmers markets and a park make it very family friendly. Monthly night markets and street festivals makes it fun for all ages. "

"This up & coming neighborhood is the perfect blend of urban and residential living. Close enough to the beaches but just far enough away from the touristy area of Waikiki. "

"I owned in 909 and lived there for a short while. Being used to a more country setting, I was unsure about how I would like the area. I found I could easily live here, as everything is within walking distance, even the beach! I am working as a realtor to promote the area of Kakaako, an area in transition from light industrial to urban, and growing rapidly."
