Mount Carmel elementary is a school where every child is encouraged to grow and succeed. The staff is caring and dedicated and consistently goes above and beyond to support students academically, socially and emotionally. Teachers take the time to build meaningful relationships with every student. The school is an excellent choice for families looking for a supportive and encouraging school community.

Everytime my kid comes home, she has a new mark on her.I've had countless incidents, where bullies are hurting my child, while the staff don't do anything to those children, instead they call out my child out for being special needs, yet they consider her "out of control"Out of control, like the child who attacked a teacher in February?They wanted to charge me for my daughter dropping a 2003 Laptop, but a 5th grader who assaults a teacher, damages property, gets a slap on the wrist and "he can't help it"Just recently my child was kicked in the face.How in the shining sun, does this school stay open, let alone funded.

Overall Sweetwater is great! The staff and administrative team are always helpful and really build relationships with the students. The principal is awesome and always so informative and tuned into what's going on with the students and the teachers. The teachers, I've experienced since my son started back at SWES have been terrific and always lending a hand when needed with studies. Communication is excellent!

I would have given the school 1 star, but there are actually decent teachers who care about the students. The administration, however, is horrible. Never received test scores from previous year, delayed ordering necessary books for months, refusal to answer direct questions or emails. Unless the entire administration, leaves, take your children at your own risk. They do not care about them, only money.
