Why? Because he didn’t trust anyone there. That says everything about the environment. The teachers didn’t listen before when he needed help with smaller issues, so when something serious happened, he kept it to himself out of fear they’d ignore it or make it worse.I only found out weeks later, after watching his mental health fall apart. He became withdrawn, quiet, and deeply depressed. When I finally got him to open up, he told me the full truth—and it crushed me. Not only had he been hurt physically, but emotionally too. And the school had no idea, because no one was paying attention. No one created a space where he felt safe enough to speak.I had to pull him out of the school completely. It wasn’t just one bad day—it was a broken system. A system that failed him. The response from the administration? Cold and empty. “No report was made.” “We didn’t know.” But that’s not an excuse. That’s an admission that they aren’t doing their jobs.My son is still dealing with the trauma. He fell into a deep depression and hasn’t come out of it. The damage they caused is long-term. This wasn’t just about poor communication. This was about neglect, a total lack of accountability, and an unsafe environment.I DO NOT RECOMMEND. If you value your child’s emotional and physical safety, stay away. My family is still picking up the pieces—and no family should have to go through this.Parent Review1y agoThe GreatSchools Rating compares schools on a variety of school quality indicators including test scores, college readiness, equity and more.
