"I am from Columbus GA, born and raised and have been living in the Midland area for 2 years. I absolutely love it! It may not be on Oliver but it is def. one of the top 3 neighborhoods that should be considered when spending anything in the realm of 350 plus AND wanting to be in a 10-15 minute driving radius of all the big corporations here in Columbus. Downtown is 15 mins and the strip mall area is less than 10. You can access 85 or manchester one road up or down warm springs. The great thing about Forest Lake is there is no access road from Lynch so it dead ends and keeps random/nosey strangers out of the neighborhood. I never knew it existed until 3 years ago and this place is well over 8 years old. Also it is great there is video surv. all throughout our neighborhood. As far as schooling, Midland academy may not be the best, but if you are willing to drive 10 mins ot the other side of Lynch you have Matthews Elementary. There are a good group of kids in the 3-13 year age range in this neighborhood as well, so it is perfect for new families with young children. The mix is diverse, but there arent any rich snooty/nosey people, most of the neighbors are extremely friendly, so it is nice. Plus, there is another phase that will begin which wraps around the backside of the lake in 2015. A lot of future growth also will happen over the next ten years as well, it is pretty much the only way Columbus can start moving now. So property values etc will rise as well as more things to do. Also the Bike trail starting point is off Psalmond rd and there is talk of that trail being extended all the way out to Callaway, if so, it will cross over lynch road....Now THAT would be absolutely awesome! Only thing we really dislike about the area is the modem speed, no cable, only sattelite/phone. "

" I live here and REALLY like this community. The neighborhood has Lakes, Tennis Courts, Pool , beautiful Park area, well maintained properties, great social committee and the best neighbors anywhere. Look here first if you are coming from another part of the country. We moved here from the Washington DC area and have lived in two houses in the neighborhood. Best decision we could have made. Easy access to the interstate which is a plus. "
