This school is a great school. My son loves to go in this school because everyone is friendly and teachers are amazing as they are really supportive and hands on to their students. This school encourage the families to be involved in school activities and be inform on what’s going on to their school and programs. It also offers IB program and it is a magnet school which is great, their teachings are way more better than other public school here. I highly recommend this school. I think this site needs to have more updated ratings and school evaluation.

There is not enough diversity at this school among the students, and staff. and the African American culture seems to be more of the high priority above others.

I have had children at HCES for 10 years. My son has just graduated 8th grade and gone on to high school. HCES set a remarkable foundation for my son and his approaching to learning and knowledge. He is completely prepared for high school with strong study skills and knowledge base. He is confident in his ability to do high school work well! The size of the school is large enough to be dynamic but small enough that the personal attention for each student makes all the difference.
