Ms. White of third grade has shown great compassion, patience and understanding. My daughter has been on IEP since she started school and I am very proud of the progress my daughter has made. I would recommend this school to any parent that has a student on IEP.

There’s a lot to say about this elementary school... In the beginning everything is good, Principal and staff seemed very excited and ready for kids to learn and have fun; I get it you have to put on a face of happiness. Now when your child’s not getting the education they need and getting hurt; Speaking to the principal (2026) or the teacher isn’t doing anything what’s next to do? I’m taking my child out of this school, ask questions and do your due diligence before enrolling your child.

The treatment I received while picking up my daughters from school today was in acceptable. As an African American father with my custody agreement in hand, I was made to feel as though I were a criminal. Despite having proper documentation, I was left waiting more than 20 minutes while staff contacted the resource deputy to stand by an action that was completely unnecessary, especially given that I remained calm and never raised my voice at any point. While the principal and guidance counselor eventually handled the situation appropriately and helped resolve the issue, the experience leading up to that point was unacceptable. In particular, the woman in the front office seated to the right (when facing the desk) demonstrated inconsiderate and incompetent behavior that escalated the situation rather than helping it.No parent should have to feel profiled or treated with suspicion while simply picking up their children especially when legal custody documents are provided. I hope the school addresses this issue so other families do not go through a similar experience

I attended CPS for many years and I received an amazing education. I loved all my teachers. (especially Mrs George) CPS helped me grow stronger in my faith, build lasting friendships, and shaped me into the person I am today.
