7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAmazing School and StaffI recently moved to the country, and my daughter began 1st grade at Palmetto Elementary School. She was understandably petrified—facing a new language, a new country, a large building, and so many students and teachers was overwhelming for her. Each morning was a struggle as she begged not to go to school, filled with stress and fear. However, the incredible staff at Palmetto made all the difference. They were understanding, empathetic, and welcoming, allowing me to accompany her and help her settle in. I feel truly blessed to have chosen Palmetto Elementary. Among all the schools I toured—charter, private, and religious—Palmetto's tour stood out the most. The principal is outstanding, and her leadership is reflected in the wonderful team she has assembled.Thank you, Palmetto, for making this challenging transition so much more pleasant for both my daughter and me.Parent Review1y ago8 Reviews - James Tillman Elementary Magnet School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTillman is probably the worst school I have ever dealt with and especially bad if you have any type of ADHD or Autistic child. They just don't care about your child. They would rather attack and torment your child mentally in order to deem them a dangerous child just to get them removed from their school. Trust me I have been there. When my child was having emotional dysregulations, rather than providing him with hos necessary, legally required aides. They just lock him in a room with nothing in it and hold the door closed. Than they would try and justify that the child is violent. Yeah I would be too if the adults we are supposed to trust torment us and lock us in a room. If you value your childs education and have a special needs child, trust me and enroll him elsewhere. They will appreciate it but you and your child will be soo much happier.Parent Review3mo ago9 Reviews - Blackburn Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI give this school 5 stars because it is hands it is the best school around. Teachers care about their students, they are dedicated, they are respectful, they provide a positive learning environment, they practice what they preach. I love the excellent communication between teacher and student. My child has been in their school for 5 years and I have never been let down. They work hard for YOUR child.Parent Review6y ago7 Reviews - Suncoast Baptist Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMiracle-workers!My 9th grade daughter went from D/F student with a massive attendance problem to an A/B student who likes to go to school. My all honors classes but bullied 8th grader told us after the first week at Ed Harbor that he hadn't felt this safe at school since Anna Maria Elementary. Smaller classes, fewer classroom changes throughout the day, and dedicated teachers (not burned out!!) are making all the difference in the education of my 2 teens! And a huge difference in our family life. I've never been a fan of school vouchers, as I wanted to support our community public schools. Now I'm grateful that this small private school exists-- and school vouchers are available! Ed Harbor is a blessing!Parent Review1y ago5 Reviews
