"If you live in the city, it’s more of a downtown field, but it is not really kid friendly until you get on the outskirts of the actual downtown area. But the surrounding areas around to the north and the east is the favorite areas of mine."

"I enjoy attending Orlando Magic Games at the Kia Center. Lake Eola serves as a gathering center for all age groups."
  • K Brack
"In my part of Orlando which is Sanford has a good school system. The area has plenty of malls and stores. There are trails to walk and bike all over. "

"While you can get around the immediate area on foot, to travel outside of the district you definitely need a car. I wish there were more business within walking distance so I wouldn’t need to drive. "

"Farmer’s Market on Sunday. Dog park. If it weren’t for all the homeless people begging for money every time I walk to the grocery store it would be great. "

"Commute is fairly good to drive except for rush hour times before and after work. Also plenty of bikes to rent which at times is better for travel especially when you don’t want to pay for parking. "
  • Queenmel
"This isn’t a city for children. There is a ton of traffic so the streets are very busy. Also, there are a lot of bars and this is a party town late at night especially on the weekends."
  • Kate R.
"Quaint and sweet, and a lot of greenery! Quiet next to a great school. Great place to walk your dog , close to colonial, lake Ivanhoe and downtown "

"ive lived here for 8 years and love it. First SODO, then ivanhoe and now Solaire. it is great being close to everything, but I do wish downtown had shopping of some kind"

"Living on lake Cherokee is very peaceful and safe. It’s close enough to downtown to walk, but far enough to still be quiet. It’s a nice area for a family and pets."
  • Amy M. S.
"trendy but not snobby. affordable but growing. mix of bar and restaurant employees with working class neighbors. Very bike friendly and relatively safe. "
