So happy and lucky to have a wonderful public school like MSES in our neighborhood. You can feel the loving energy from everyone there. The teachers are so nice, supportive & caring. The staff is very welcoming and responsive. We love the new principal who is on top of everything. We also love how interactive and fun this school is; every other week there’s something fun going on - either a party, dress down day, ice cream truck, etc… Overall we’ve had a very positive experience.

As a parent of a child with disabilities, I want other families to be aware of the importance of carefully reviewing documentation, especially when it involves behavior, safety, supervision, and IEP decisions.My experience with North Miami Elementary has raised serious concerns about inconsistent documentation, disability-related needs being described without full context, and parent concerns not being fully reflected in the process. I have reviewed records that appear inconsistent with one another, and I became concerned that certain documentation could create an inaccurate perception of my child if not reviewed carefully.Parents should understand that behavior documentation matters. Referrals, behavior logs, FBAs, BIPs, IEP drafts, meeting notes, and emails can all affect how a child is viewed and what supports are provided. If documentation leaves out disability-related context, safety needs, communication needs, supports attempted, or parent input, that can be harmful.I encourage parents to request records in writing, review every document, ask for corrections when something is inaccurate, request meeting notes, and ask for Prior Written Notice when decisions are made or refused.This review is based on my experience and my concerns as a parent. I believe families deserve transparency, accurate documentation, meaningful parent participation, and careful handling of children with disabilities.

Para mí la directora es pésima en su trabajo muy poca profesional y muy incapacitada en la labor que desempeña. Al cabo de dos años me está cobrando un bill de una laptop que ni ella sabe dónde esta. Eso es muestra de poco profesionalismo que repercute en el desempeño del niño ya que se siente des criminado por la escuela aún cuando hace dos años que ya no es matrícula de la escuela. Yo como mamá siento que es algo personal. Solo expongo mi experiencia para que sirva de ejemplo a otros padres.
