1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is not good. The teachers are extremely for the most part unhelpful and do not respond. My son has been here on his 3rd year currently and only the first teacher was responsive in a timely matter. They do not seem to care at all when you call office either. Most seem like they dont know what's going on and say they will get back to you but really dont. Only reason hes still here is because its his home school and very close by.Parent Review7mo ago12 Reviews - Comstock Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school feigns interest in the concerns of parents but it’s a complete farce. The school is chaotic and dropping off a child is like the hunger games. Miami Dade County is not doing anything to provide a safe arrival and dismissal procedure. The officer (if he is there) just stands against his car as if he is part of the school decor. He allows parents to do whatever they want. If you bring anything up to school administrators, they just say it’s the parents not following directions. In Broward, if parents were allowed to do anything, they would, BSO and the school administrators are there to prevent that from happening. You must enforce your rules, not just hope people listen. The front of the school is completely chaotic, there is no parking, the thru traffic easily becomes gridlocked, the drop off procedures for both the cars and the special needs students/walkers, is not safe whatsoever. Unfortunately the district and school do not allow special needs students their own entrance. This leaves the special needs students overstimulated by the time they get into class since they have to just wait in the crowd to be called. The solution? The vice principal just told me to bring my son late if he was getting overstimulated.Parent Review5mo ago9 Reviews - Melrose Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am deeply concerned about the repeated removal of my child from class at Melrose Elementary School. He is being put out of class on a daily basis, which is unacceptable and directly impacting his education.I have already notified both his teacher and the principal about this ongoing issue. Despite making them aware, the situation has not been corrected. Removing a student from class every day is not discipline — it is exclusion. In addition, my child has reported that his hair was pulled out while at school. This is extremely serious and adds to my concern about his safety and overall treatment. No child should experience physical harm or feel unsafe in their learning environment. This pattern raises serious concerns about fairness and equal treatment. My child deserves the same opportunity to learn as every other student without being repeatedly singled out or removed from class.I am demanding full documentation of each removal, a clear explanation for these actions, and an immediate corrective plan. I also expect this matter to be reviewed by Miami-Dade County Public Schools.I expect accountability and prompt action. My child’s education and safety will not continue to be compromised.Parent Review2mo ago5 Reviews - Maya Angelou Elementary School
