2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI do not know where to begin with all of the things I feel that are wrong with this school. My granddaughter tells me that in certain classes she is always getting made fun of and bullied. She has told the teacher and nothing is done. My grandson, who is in third grade, can't recite the months of the year, use proper tense in sentencing, or even spell second grade words. I do not know what they are being taught at schools now but it sure isn't anything that is actually needed in to survive adulthood. He needs to be held back but knowing the school system I wouldn't be surprised if he promoted to 4th grade. It seems to me like dumbing up these kids is their job now.Parent Review3y ago12 Reviews - Southwest Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDo not send your child here if they struggle in learning. The principal and assistant principal will work to get your kid kicked out with cute little games called academic probation and if they are in special needs programs, like MTSS, they do not care.Parent Review1y ago7 Reviews - Highlands Grove Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm a grandparent of seven students at Saint Paul Lutheran in Lakeland, Florida. My family has been a part of Saint Pauls since 2012. I am also a 20 year employee at a large high school here in Lakeland and we were always excited when Saint Paul graduates came to our school. in the last three years under the new administration the school is not what it once was. The amount of teachers, great teachers that have left under this new principal tenure (who has been here three years)is so disappointing. In my opinion, the leadership at this time is very weak, poor in discipline very unsupportive of teachers. At this time, I could not recommend anyone to go to Saint Pauls.Other Review2y ago11 Reviews - Church Of The Resurrection Catholic School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur experience with Resurrection Catholic School has been deeply disappointing. As parents, we enrolled our child hoping for a supportive, faith-based learning environment where communication, compassion, and collaboration would be priorities. Unfortunately, our experience has not reflected that.Throughout our time with the school, we have faced ongoing challenges with communication, follow-through, and support for our child’s educational needs. When concerns were raised, we often felt that we received explanations instead of solutions. As parents trying to advocate for our child, we expected a more proactive and transparent partnership. The most difficult part has been feeling that our child’s needs were not fully understood or supported in a meaningful way. For families with children who may need additional learning support, patience, individualized attention, or clear communication, I would strongly encourage asking very direct questions before enrolling. The transition process to another school has also been frustrating. We were told the school could not complete administrator or teacher evaluation/reference forms due to Diocese of Orlando policy, but we were not provided with clear policy details or practical guidance to help move the application forward. During a sensitive transition, families deserve clarity, cooperation, and professionalism.Overall, our experience has left us feeling unsupported and disappointed. I hope Resurrection Catholic School improves how it communicates with families, responds to children with additional needs, and supports parents who are simply trying to make the best educational decisions for their child.Parent Review2mo ago5 Reviews - Highlands Christian Academy
