"People walk dogs throughout the neighborhood without any issues. Most people out here are dog lovers "

"I live in Pueblo west so that’s what my answers were for. That being said I have lived at my current home for seven years now and very little crime around my part of PW. It feels safe even without having streetlights. "

"Pueblo is a great place to live! It's so peaceful and people are really kind and friendly. The landscape has a subtle beauty that kind of creeps up on you. We moved here from Denver 7 years ago and I love it here."

"The higher crime areas should be avoided, as there are dangerous gangs, but overall, Pueblo has a "small town" feel with big town square footage. Lot's of great eateries, and plenty of places to shop, Pueblo has everthing one needs and the cost of living is far less than the state."

"I'm the only one on our caldesac at the moment. No street lights so I can see the stars. My nearest neighbor is an 1/8 of a mile away. We do enjoy the July 4th parade and other festivities."

"No sidewalk or street lights with narrow roads everywhere in Pueblo West. Dangerous for pedestrians after dark and before dawn."

"I have lived in Pueblo West for 40 years. It is a great community with wide open spaces. Country living close to shopping and community events. "

"It’s affordable with a small town feel with more larger town amenities. People are mostly friendly and will take the time to get to know you. "

"Large prices of property. House are separated at a good distance. Most streets are still dirt. Great school district and a large lake near for boating and pleasure "

"We are spaced apart with cattle and horse easements. We all belong to the neighborhood watch. We celebrate holidays together."

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is the worst school ever. My daughter used to love school now it’s nothing but a fight she scream cry’s. Can’t even walk my daughter up to school. First the start way too early. They shouldn’t be starting school till 8:30. They only go 4 days a week, so the schools don’t even go by the law if 171 contact days. The student pick up drop off is a complete joke. The whole district as a whole is a joke. Worst school districts in the whole state of Colorado.Parent Review10mo ago2 Reviews - Sierra Vista Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a student at this school I can judge this book by it's cover because I read it. The new principles don't monitor the children at all. There was bullying, horrible language being used by children even in the lower grades. There is way to much sexuality in the school And no one even cares. I am happy to leave. Some of the teaches publicly embrass students. The one positive thing I have to say is the Libraian is the best and I loved every second in the media center.Other Review8y ago9 Reviews - Desert Sage Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two daughters who have attended and will continue to attend Desert Sage for their elementary years. There are numerous teachers who have been at this school for 10+ years which says a lot for staffing and morale. All the teachers show a great deal of care in academics but also the well- being of each student. Principal Hyatt prioritizes safety for staff and students daily. Your son/ daughter will show academic growth at this school. Highly recommend!Parent Review1mo ago12 Reviews - Cedar Ridge Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would urge parents to carefully consider this school before enrolling. While there are caring teachers and a supportive community, there are serious concerns regarding how leadership handles student safety and behavioral issues.Based on our experience, there was a lack of consistent action and accountability when addressing bullying. A safe and responsive environment is essential for students, and that expectation was not met.Families should ask detailed questions about how concerns are handled and what follow-through they can expect. We ultimately chose a different school due to these ongoing issues.Parent Review3mo ago15 Reviews - Prairie Winds Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have 3 children who attend this school. I have been astounded by the staff and school. It is challenging to put into words how amazing this school is, how professional, kind, accommodating, godly, and amazing the staff are. The education is superb as well. I love that my children love school. They get upset when school is shut down and they can’t go. Parents need to be prepared to spend time every day doing homework with the kiddos though. Great school.Parent Review2y ago2 Reviews
