Dunlap Acres

Dunlap has been such a blessing for our kids. The teachers truly care about the students education, academically and social/emotional growth. The staff is welcoming and makes students feel safe.

This school is an outstanding beacon in the community. They are a Leader in Me Lighthouse school that teaches kids how to be a leader and to find their genius. Test scores aren't everything and I know that they are constantly working on this too with dedicated teachers who work harder than any other teachers around.

The principle is very kind and understanding and they school is well built and up to date on most things ,However some of the staff I have met in the front are very rude and stand off , Not friendly whatsoever . The playground is not the best there is very little shade for the children. They lock off the cafeteria during recess so the children don’t have AC if they get hot playing outside , They’re also very strict with hw and close the gates exactly at 7:30 and don’t give any grace period for the children the are late . I’m definitely not a fan of this school

The school itself is ok. WE had a child in the special education program and took her out to go to a different school which was more appropriate for her. We voiced our concerns multiple time and they were unheard. The school itself is ok but not for a child with an IEP.
