My children have been attending Hollyvale for 3 years now. The Principals are great and care about their students. The teachers are great at communicating with parents. The school feels safe and is clean. I have 2 more children who will soon be going here and they can’t wait to be “Hollyvale Hawks”. I like the feel of community Hollyvale has if you become involved you see that they have a lot to offer both parent volunteers and students! Great school glad to be part of it!

Nothing negative to say about this school.

I would not recommend this school my daughter has been bullied over and over again and I went to the teacher. She told me “she needs to learn how to defend yourself.“ which made me very mad another thing my daughter had an accident at school because the teacher said carpet time is my time and did not let her use the restroom and then another thing. My daughter told her not once but twice that she did not feel good and told her all you’ll be fine just go lay down later on when I went to go pick her up, I had to take it to the emergency room because she had allergic reaction. I went to the principal and the principal did nothing.

I have a 3rd grader and 2nd grader at this school and they have been going here since kindergarden. Everything was ok until this year. My son started changing and stopped showing interest in school. Last year he had great grades and would be excited about learning new things and how he would do great on test, but this year his teacher was absent most of the year, he never had homework and said he wasn't able to meet his reading and math goals because his class wasn't given access to the computers. I went into the office to talk about my concerns, and they told me that his teacher was having problems and leaving and that they didn't have enough teachers to transfer her class to other teachers. I felt really upset because basically my son lost a whole year of education. I am looking into changing them to a different school. Most days I see kids fighting after school when I go pick up my kids and feel like its getting out of control.

I’m really thankful with the new principal and the office staff for the effort of helping me and for the new changes that have been happening. I want to thanks Ms. Daleiden for all the help and teaching she provided for my son over the school year.
