10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is just beautiful. Its been over 10 years since I went here but it really shaped me as a person. Even after leaving for middle school, I came back and volunteered until all the teachers who had taught me had left. The teachers really care about the students. They accommodated the needs of students very well, and they formed connections with students that still have an impact on me until this day. I wish I could experience those days again. This school provided such a good stepping stone into academics, even when their resources were spread thin, they tried to help each student get what they needed. Afterschool programs were amazing too. I remember my favorite program was shut down due to funding issues, but they still provided afterschool care if it was needed. I have vivid memories of sitting in the library well after school was done, and the librarian (and lunch lady) cut me up an apple and sat down with me. The staff really care about their students. The community is great too. Friendships I made in elementary school are still going strong to this day. I believe I am the person I am today partly because of Summerland School. It was a godsend!!!!Other Review1y ago14 Reviews - Crane Country Day School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhy doesn’t this place allow for public reviews… because there’s way too many issues they don’t want high paying parents to see. I attended this school from 5th-8th. The promotional videos are nothing like the reality of this place. My parents paid a lot of money to send me to a place and supprt my future, but this place was just a front for elitism. I was bullied for my looks and not wearing lululemon as a 5th grader. Also, the education didn’t prepare me for all the academics in high school because I was so used to odd ball explanations and was dependent on experiential learning (which is great fun but not realistic). I ended up at LAGUNA BLANCA and PROSPERED from their way education. What a lack luster mess of a place crane country is. People pay college tuition for their kids to attend this place, when it’s quite a sh’t show of a place.Other Review2mo ago36 Reviews
