"This is an amazing city but very expensive. You need to make a high salary to be able to afford to live here. "

"Relaxed, upscale coastal living. Walkable lifestyle to Mesa shops and close to downtown Santa Barbara with perfect weather and friendly, safe neighborhood. Best of all worlds."

"East Mesa is THE place to Live. Very quiet, friendly, clean and on the coast. There is free parking in the lots at Shoreline Park and Mesa Park. Both parks offer areas for picnics, lawn games and have play grounds. Shoreline Park is a wonderful location for viewing sunset or sunrise and is a favorite location for dog owners to walk their dogs. The Mesa is near the harbor and beaches. There are great neighborhood restaurants, shopping and services. It is very near downtown SB. From the harbor you can take the electric trolly up State St to the downtown area or along the coast to the wharf or the zoo for 25 cents. The area offers an outdoor lifestyle for people of all ages and interests. "

"Have lived in Santa Barbara since 1977, have seen many changes, but the Mesa is still my favorite neighborhood. We don't have to worry about the fires and Shoreline Park is the best place to walk and take kids to play."
