Parkway

This school barely helped me at all. The teachers favored students that had wealthy families or would do anything to get a good grade. They were never prepared for things they plan it was always last minute and it was usually the kids that had to set up. There were only four teachers that I felt comfortable with. I felt that I couldn't go to a teacher with a problem with a other student because they would only handled it if it involved one of their favorites, they will always side with the favorite student. I started to slack off with my grades and all they did was called my parent to go after school to have me attend a after school program that didn't even help me, they made me feel dumb. I had classmate that were homophobic towards me after I came out my 8th grade year, they also misgendered me saying I was male when I'm really female there was no need for me to have to prove that I was. Their reasoning to thinking I was a boy was because I wore shorts/pants, and because I was flat. They also bullied me because i didn't have as much money as they did and said I sounded ghetto and that I should have just stayed in oak park. One time I had asked why had they said that and their responses was that they lived in elk grove that they were always better, and that I'm lucky be at the school because living in oak park would never get anywhere in life. I would never send my future child to this school and if I could I would leave 0 stars. I have recently started high school and realised how much potential I have. I now have a 4.0 GPA score and feel confident in myself and of my achievements. I have made it into honor roll and I'm now tutoring younger kids and helping them realise how much potential they have. They say they teach us how to be a leader but I learned how from my real friends and being away from that school. To any parents that are thinking of sending your child here I hope you reconsidered because they also charge a lot and it not worth that much just to hear from your child after they graduate how it really was.
