"We know all our neighbors and we watch out for each other. We help each other out with chores such as home and automotive maintenance. We also share with each other, be it a beer, cocktail together, cup of sugar, or a meal. I feel very comfortable with my neighbors and feel very fortunate to have such great neighbors."

"It’s a great place to live, generally quiet and safe. You’ve got to learn to live with and appreciate the lovely fog. Off-street parking can be heinous though."

"I've lived here almost 1 year and I hate it! Overpriced, to say the least! No good grocery stores. The Safeway smells like rotten meat and there's mold in the refrigerator areas. Daly City smells like sewage almost every day. People are rude. There's very little/no parking and they give tickets for everything possible. They even give tickets for not curbing your wheels in areas where there is barely a grade, like basically flat! Do not move here!"

"I lived in this neighborhood for 30 years and still loving it. Transportation is very convenient, only 12 miles to downtown SF, 15 minutes to SFO. 10 minutes to the Cliff House & Golden Gate Park. "

"This area of Daly City is particularly wonderful...PLUS, the City is very well managed-with great city services including, street maintenance and repair...NO potholes as found just over the City/County line in San Francisco...Waiting for it to be rediscovered as a model mid-century planned community with continued excellent walkability, access to great public transportation including BART, and loads of nearby shopping.."

"I personally think that Daly City is a safe area, having lived here for a while. I get the luxury of having the City nearby, but I also can live in a quiet neighborhood. It's definitely family oriented with little shops here and there. Public transportation is accessible but walking isn't so great."

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had children at this school for the past 8 years, and have been very pleased! If you're looking to be a big part of your child's school experience, this school has the strongest PTA in the district and holds many events that benefit the teachers and students in various ways. The active and well-organized PTA really lends a strong sense of community to the school and the money they raise funds many programs that the school otherwise wouldn't be able to offer. The current principal is very reasonable and does her best to address any issues that come up with care and compassion. There are some truly amazing teachers who have inspired a real love of learning in my children, and I would recommend this school to anyone!Parent Review9y ago7 Reviews - Westlake Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attending this school for 3 years. Teachers are young and do a lot of workshops. They check students knowledge and place them in extra workshops for further studies. For example my daughter loves art and writing, she attends writer's workshop every day. she does what she loves.Parent Review7y ago2 Reviews - Our Lady Of Mercy Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy family has been a part of the OLM community for almost a decade, with my eldest starting in preschool. The school and parish have been instrumental in my children's education, faith formation, and positive self-image. They have nurtured a love of God and compassion for others. The curriculum is academically challenging and cultivates a love of learning. The teachers and staff care deeply about the children, and really go out of their way to know the families. The principal knows each child and parent by name. The parent community is tight-knit and feels like a second family. OLM has an extraordinary school spirit, especially at sports games and PTO events. Though OLM is deeply rooted in Catholic values, the community doesn't take itself too seriously and knows how to have fun. There is a strong partnership between the school and the parish, and each is supportive of each other. My children are better people for being a part of OLM, and there is no other school and parish I would want to raise them in. Go Bulldogs!Parent Review3y ago5 Reviews
