Poet's Corner

I had two kids in this school. One of them was severely traumatized, the other one fared better but was also not really happy. They have ZERO help for kids during recess. When there is a fight kids are told off, when there is bullying they rather victim blame than helping the child. The principal is old fashioned and loves teachers that yell at and punish kids. Group punishments? Great! Shaming a kid as punishment? Yes!The school has a few fantastic teachers but it doesn't make up for the rest.

I have just recently pulled my child out of The Berkeley School, and I would not recommend sending your children here, my child was inappropriately harassed multiple times and almost nothing was done, the teachers failed to comprehend the other students and they inserted themselves in my child's disagreement's with other students only to bias the other's opinions, and through the gate of the school my child was threatened multiple times by people walking by. My child has gone through too much here, from students threatening to inappropriately harass them to their friends attempting suicide, almost nothing was done, and to this day I am still convinced the teachers were playing an unfair game of favorites, 2nd and 3rd grade was alright, but 4th and 5th grade was when my child experienced nothing to this day I ever have. PLEASE do not send your children here.
