My experience with Mary Meredith School was extremely disappointing and concerning.My 10-year-old son, who has a heart condition, came home with a bruise on his arm after an incident involving a staff member, George Biddle. As a parent, I was very concerned that enough force was used to leave a visible bruise on my child. What troubled me even more was the school’s response when I brought my concerns forward.I attended multiple meetings with school administration in an effort to address the situation and find a reasonable solution. However, I felt that my concerns were consistently dismissed and that there was little willingness to consider any compromise. I was repeatedly told that my son had to remain at the school, and I did not feel that my concerns as a parent were taken seriously.I was also disappointed by the administration’s handling of the matter. Despite several discussions, I never received a satisfactory resolution, nor was I made aware of any corrective action, disciplinary measures, or retraining related to the incident. Throughout the process, I felt that the seriousness of the situation and the impact on my child were not adequately acknowledged.Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this school to other parents. Families deserve a school environment where student safety concerns are addressed promptly, professionally, and transparently.
