5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers try but they get silenced by their higher ups. Kids run rampid with terrible behavior that gets rewarded and teachers can't do anything about it. Not safe at all assaults are clearly ok over there with no repercussions. Class sizes are too big, teachers are losing their morale. They have these events parties ect to distract from this failing schoolParent Review1y ago14 Reviews - Kyrene de la Colina School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLOVE THIS SCHOOL!! I can’t say enough good things about Colina. Everyone is so welcoming. The administrators are SO positive, caring, and support their students and staff with the utmost respect. The teachers are positive and work with so well with all different abilities- it’s very impressive to watch (I volunteer in the classrooms).Colina has so many things to offer the students during and after school. Every quarter they have new fun classes kids can take after school- chess, soccer, piano, drawing, robotics and so much more. My girls absolutely love the pep assemblies where kids get recognized for doing great things at school and being a role model. There are festivals, dances, fundraisers, BINGO nights, other fun events and family dinner nights. When my girls are at school I know they are safe, they are being treated with respect, and they are building incredible relationships with not only their peers, but their teachers as well. My daughters’ teachers take the time to listen and connect with them. Every teacher that I’ve seen looks like they want to be there working for the kids.Colina has PE, art, music, and library classes as well as a technology class where my girls are learning coding and how to make presentations. We toured a few schools in and out of Kyrene district. Colina blew every other school out of the water. For us, choosing Colina was a very easy decision after seeing other options. I was in special education for 17 years and feel like I kinda know what to look for in a school. Colina has a lot of great things to offer and I’m SO happy our girls go there! 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids go to wood school. Since 2012, 2023 and now 2025, I believe the school is wonderful, clean, and very safe. Teachers are awesome and answer questions, their very kind to the kids, when it comes to learning has a lot to do with each individual kid, plus parents aren't involved and use the school as a daycare, if you kids aren't learning that is on the parents more than the teachers. Manners come from home and not school so its not the teachers fault, but they do great dealing with so many different personalities . The principal is wonderful and always monitors the safety of the children, i love wood school and their doing what they can with resources provided by the district. Sadly AZ ranks so low in education due to a lack of funding, yet wood has done a wonderful job with the kids and I'm really thankful for everything they have done .Parent Review8mo ago8 Reviews - Getz School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe did not have a good experience at this school. The Director is not held accountable as she, her husband, and her brother are on the Board of Directors. This school has been in the news various times, most recently due to the Director's son being imprisoned for acts against a student at the school. Not all of the teachers have Montessori or IB credentials. The campus itself is beautiful.Parent Review1mo ago20 Reviews
