7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis has been one of the most disappointing elementary school experiences I have ever encountered. Unfortunately, this concern extends beyond a single issue and includes teachers, office staff, and school leadership. I have personally witnessed staff members behaving in ways that I consider rude and disrespectful toward children, parents, and visitors. It is troubling that children are expected to demonstrate respect toward peers and adults when there appears to be a significant lack of respectful behavior being modeled by some of the adults in the building. Children learn by example, and the current environment does not consistently reflect the standards of respect that are being demanded of them.Additionally, I share the concerns of other parents that incidents of bullying are not being adequately addressed, and that the school often appears to turn a blind eye to these issues. One positive development this year is the principal’s decision to step down, and I hope this leadership change creates an opportunity for meaningful improvement. I sincerely hope the district and Board of Education step in sooner rather than later to ensure that necessary changes are made to better support the students and families of this school.Other Review4mo ago11 Reviews - Desert Sage Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePaseo Hills has been known for its issues for many years. Poor communication from staff and principals regarding big things like threats, but you'll get weekly emails with a word of the week. Principal Hood will call you and sweep things under the rug if you have a concern. My friends child was found with an older student (she was in kindergarten) in the bathroom stall and the staff acted like it was no big deal. Another friends son's teacher is simply passing him along rather than actually helping him. He doesn't understand the material and is on an IEP but the minimal support is evident when a third grader can hardly read. Our experience has also been less than ideal with everyone except the amazing office team, and we are happy that they now have a police officer on staff. Even the nurse does not communicate, if your child comes home with a large bandaid and blood dripping down their skin with a huge bruise you'll have no idea they even went to the nurse unless your student tells you. We have been a part of DVUSD for several years ranging from kinder to HS and the district as a whole continues to go downhill. They want their students off of IEP's, they do testing without consent, their curriculum is awful, they spend countless amounts of money on things like technology when their money can be used other places, and their focus is not safety or the well being of students like they say. A matter of fact, you don't even need to have a background check to volunteer on field trips or go to school dances. You also cannot open enroll with an IEP, therefore we are stuck with Paseo for a few more years until my children go to HS, as it's our home school. If you're looking for a home, I do not recommend moving to an area where your student will go to Paseo Hills. From the principal, to the teachers, and the learning in between, Paseo Hills continues to be a disappointment.Parent Review2mo ago17 Reviews - Stetson Hills Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe never imagined that finding the right school for our children would be such a journey.Like many parents, we always assumed our girls would attend the local public school. But after experiencing public school—and later trying a charter school—we found that something was still missing. The charter school, though promising at first, began to feel more and more like the public system we had left. That’s when we decided to take a leap of faith and explore private education. It was a big decision, and honestly, a little scary. But it has completely changed our daughters’ lives. The transformation has been incredible.School is fun again. Our girls are excited to learn, and they come home eager to share stories and discoveries. They’re learning ancient truths and engaging with ideas in meaningful ways. The hands-on learning approach keeps them involved and curious, not just sitting at a desk all day.The teachers have been nothing short of amazing—always available, supportive, and willing to take the time to help our kids grasp difficult concepts. We’ve never seen this kind of dedication and care before. And we can’t say enough about the financial team. They were patient, knowledgeable, and walked us through the entire ESA and STO process step by step. We were anxious about affordability, but they eased our fears and made the transition possible. We’re so grateful we took the leap. This school has been a blessing to our family.Parent Review10mo ago18 Reviews - Adams Traditional Academy

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCharter schoolSs DO NOT have to take a special needs child. I think that is how most charters keep their ratings. They either kick them out or make them so miserable, they have no choice but leave. I thought this could be a good alternative to the the unconventional teachings of public school- but clearly they are only worried about ratings NOT CHILDRENOther Review1mo ago60 Reviews - Vista Peak
